Progress Update
The repository was organized under /content/trustgraph-platoon during Colab development. The public-facing project name SafeGraph-CAV was selected, while trustgraph-platoon remained the repository name. An earlier proposed paper title was "SafeGraph-CAV: A Physics-Regularized Graph Trust Architecture for Secure Vehicle Platooning." The final title later emphasized trust-weighted CACC and runtime shielding more directly.
The base configuration and at least one checkpoint existed by this date. The codebase was separated into modules for communication, trust, platoon dynamics/control, and evaluation.
Experiment Note
Running pytest -q tests/ initially failed because imports such as communication, trust, platoon, and evaluation could not be resolved. The failure was infrastructural rather than algorithmic. The repair involved making the repository importable through PYTHONPATH, adding or correcting package __init__.py files, and using pytest configuration so tests executed from the repository root with consistent module resolution.
Technical Essay
This failure was a useful early lesson: a research prototype cannot be reproducible if its result pipeline depends on the accidental state of one notebook runtime. The package structure, configuration files, and entry points had to become explicit before the experiments could be trusted.
The name SafeGraph-CAV was also conceptually useful. "Graph" described directed relational trust, "Safe" described the independent runtime intervention layer, and "CAV" anchored the work in connected and automated vehicle platooning. The name reflected the architecture rather than just branding it.
